Another time, when she was only accessing the part of her that was Kree, Roxie might have been getting tired by now, spent, unable to concentrate. Instead, she found that the more she fought, the clearer her mind became, the easier it was to anticipate what the Frost Giants were going to do to her, and the quicker she was in avoiding them and fighting them.

There was a little too much property damage going on around her, but Roxie was confident that it was nothing that a nice, big lump of Olympian gold couldn't fix.

Nicky flies up behind the Kreek warrior, pressing his back to hers - a difficult feat, considering how all over the place she is. But the giants are ganging up on her, and as well as she's doing, well, she can't do it all on her own.

He lets out a roar that would probably make his parents proud, hacking away at some giants, wondering if he can possibly convince Habitats for Humanity to help out with this destruction.

Vincent's jaw drops when he spots what the giants are guarding. The Casket of Ancient Winters? Here? Oh this was... this was exceptional. Loki wouldn't know what hit him.

"We need to seize that and turn it back against them." He states to Marcus, in no uncertain terms. He launches a volley of high-intensity illusion spells, bright lights and deafening sounds going off in the giants' faces.

"What," she croaks. Then shudders as it's starting to get to be too much to do this. She is fighting magic that is as old as the Earth.

Her head goes from mildly aching to roaring with pain and she has to grab onto something so she doesn't slip while she tries to focus.

"Whatever you're planning? Hurry," she snaps at Vincent.

"This hurts. It's fighting me."

The filing cabinet startles the Frost Giant as it explodes with paper all over his face. Then suddenly Jay hits him at a full run! The giant tries to brace himself but Jay's attack throws them both through several walls as they don't stop moving.

The wind currents change and shift as Bruce is fighting. By pure luck rays of sun light come down hitting ice and refract in Bruce's direction. Someone out there loves heroes clearly.

Together Roxie and Nicky turn the tide of battle. They are excellent to pair together.

Because of the chaos of the fight Vincent has a window of opportunity to do something. That is if he avoids the powerful wind spell cast at him, Marcus, and Erin by a very rare sorcerer Frost Giant.

Jay was not thinking any more. All he could see was green. From flaming arms to sudden power boosts to too many freaking giants he came up the waist on, the young Hulk was angry. His temper is low, loud rumble in his chest.

Having the giant bent over him slightly from the rush attack and using that frosty butt as a battering ram through walls, Jay reached up and back a little. Not far. Just enough to grab the giant's nose and yank down.

Ahhh. Solar power. From which Bruce drew much of his power. True, he could absorb other energy sources, but it was solar energy that really charged him.

He fired a photon blast in the giant's face.

Marcus tightens his grin on Erin and the reins when he feels her sagging. Well, this is going just peachy. He glances over at Vincent. He'd better keep those things busy long enough. Marcus nudges Aether and they swoop down toward the object to try and grab it.

Roxie keeps those around her occupied as best as she can, though she notices the rest of the action going on out of the corner of her eye. She hears gusts of wind coming from the direction that Erin and the others are in, but she holds her sky. If the gusts come her way, she'll withstand them, though she figures they aren't for her, anyway.

Behind her, Nicky is all flashing metal as his axe slashes and swipes this way and that. There is plenty of frost build-up on Nicky himself, but that only forces him to fight faster, fiercer, and harder.

Vincent isn't good with wind. It's evocation over a very large area but still demanding a high measure of finesse. He can do finesse just fine, but it's something he considers more in line with charm and illusion spells. It's a mental disconnect he's never really managed to reconcile.

However, he does happen to be very good at math and fire.

A calculated blast of intense heat in response to the wind creates a downdraft which sends him hurtling towards the giants, and hopefully buffets Marcus and Erin to a safer point on their own approach. He rolls violently in midair and goes under one giant's arm close enough that he could have reached out and touched it. He may be in for a rough landing, but he's on target for the Casket.

"Runecaster," Erin shouts even though her head is trying to kill her.

"When you're ready? Get a move on!"

She prepares to throw all of her might at the giants and the center of this fight. Everything is about to really heat up.

What Jay just did is break a Giant's nose. The giant screams in surprise and has to struggle to keep Jay from ripping his nose off his face.

Bruce knocks the Giant back. The giant falls to the ground in a large heap.

Roxie and Nicky are able to hold their ground They are tiring out the Frost Giants they are facing.

Vincent has a moment to act. Just a moment. He better hurry.

Despite the horrible threat of frost giant boogers on his fingers, Jay kept pulling down.

"Gotcher nose!"

Bruce directed another photon blast the nearest giant. They needed to end this soon. It was taking too long.

Vincent dives into the maelstrom and reaches out his hands as he crashes.

He's never felt cold like that before.

He has the Casket. He teleports away from the heap he had landed in, already shrieking with laughter.

Roxie whirls in mid-air, ducking a blow from one of the Frost Giants. Vincent's laughter...what the hell is going on?

Nicky heard it too. He already didn't trust Vincent - the boy was the scion of Doom and Amora, and that was reason enough to be suspicious.

But that shrieking and laughter...

He beheads a Frost Giant with his axe, not even thinking about the life he's just taken.

Marcus was already struggling to keep Aether on track against the wind created by the Frost Giant magic. The sudden downdraft knocked them aside and he couldn't hold the reins in check and hang onto an already weakened Erin. Choosing between the two, he dropped the reins to clutch at Erin and hope that he could stay in the saddle. Unfortunately, with the way Aether was thrashing in the air, that wasn't going to happen.

The best he could do was try and make sure he landed first and cushioned Erin from as much of the impact as he could. Hopefully, his armor would keep him from too much injury.

The next thing he knew, he was on the ground, Erin on top of him, with stars dancing in front of his eyes. His horse laid nearby, struggling to shake off the stun from the fall and the next thing Marcus saw was Vincent grab the item they'd been heading for and disappear.

Marcus wheezed to catch his breath and fought to get to his feet, dragging Erin with him. "Need some help, here!" He shouted over the comms as best he could.

"Runecaster," Erin yelps then winces and closes her eyes because oh god they're going to die. She is convinced they're going to die.

But they don't die and she looks up to see enraged Frost Giants. She does the only thing she can think of and throws up a big shield to protect them from oncoming attacks as she lands on her butt next to Marcus.

"Hurry! I can't hold on." She can feel how bad it's getting for her. "I... I'm going to kick his ass for this! I said get it. Not throw us into danger!"

Erin is kind of freaking out. This is her first real major fight and she feels like a total failure.

If anyone wants to save Marcus and Erin they better move fast. Every Frost Giant near them is about to attack them right now. Except for the one casting magic. He is about to go after Vincent.

Nicky ends up with a clear view of what exactly is happening. He and Roxie ended up seriously putting a dent in the horde of Frost Giants.

Bruce gets a volley of arrows from somewhere up above.

There is one sound that cuts through the din of grunting, crashing, and howling around Jay. It's sound of a horse's panicked whinny. The big, green teen looked up from his hunched position with his fingers all over a giant nose.

If Aether was in trouble, that meant Marcus was too. As fun as his own fight was, Jay needed to help others. He grabbed the giant's head and used that grip to throw the giant like a hammer at the cluster of giants near Marcus, Erin, and Aether.

Bruce concentrated his energy into a force field, deflecting the arrows that came near him. He threw out a hand, throwing up another photonic bubble around Marcus, Aether, and Erin.

Vincent reappears not far from the giants, but no longer in their midst, hearing the call for help just as he spots Marcus and--- oh no.

No, there's no time to figure what went wrong with the counterspell. He needs to act right now.

He braces his stance and faces towards the Frost Giants.

"You are not welcome on this world." He opens the Casket and steals the conjured cold back from them, temperatures rising rapidly and becoming much less friendly to the Jotuns.

Roxie grabbed her mace and whirled in mid-air, hitting the giants in a circle around her. She turned back to look at Nicky and nodded. She was fine on her own for a moment.
