A Charity Gala to End Whatever Important Thing
New York City high society had been absolutely buzzing over this April's charity gala by a certain Mr. Tony Stark. It was seen as exclusive, or as exclusive as his 200 person guest list could be. Some invitations were a given, like Tony's daughter Alexa, whereas others came from what the party planners figured as the right people to make the party memorable or talked about.
The charity event was for the charitable arm of Stark Inc., Stark International. Despite being for charity, it was also seen as a good way for businesses to be seen and network.
The event was held at the Hudson in the Library and Private Park space. It would comfortably fit the people into its 2,600 Square Feet.

"And you really should pay more attention to the guest list. Trying to steal from a party with some of the Avengers in attendance seems foolish."
And so she gets Charlatan with a splash of cold water.

"I don't-pfaugh!" He was interrupted by a splash of cold water. What kind of heroes was he tangling with Haughty Lass and Drippy Girl? He shook his head and went on despite his sodden clothes. "I don't care about accoutrement as a status symbol. It's easily destroyed."
To try to prove it, he lunged toward Tina with his sword slashing. He wasn't aiming for her skin but more the dress she was wearing. His other hand slipped inside his jacket to grab something.

"Anything can be destroyed, you confused and strange little man."
no subject
"True, it can. But I want things that take a little effort to destroy." He removed his other hand out of his jacket with a loose-lidded jar. With his stumbling due to being off-balance, the lid went flying off. The "disappearing dust" inside the plastic jar sprayed out in a loose arc.
Whatever the dust touched started disintegrating.

"Well, that wasn't on the label." Though the water acted like clear Xenomorph blood, it was more contained as a liquid. Especially when Iron Man showed up to handle it.
"Ooh. That's a bit above my pay grade." He tipped his top hat to the crowd. "Thanks for very little."
Then Charlatan made a break for one of the doors to the gardens.

Norman returned from the restroom in time to see Charlatan racing past him toward the gardens.
"All right, then." he said, looking for Tina and Stella.
"Ladies? I think we need to relocate our little get-together immediately. What do you think?" Norman asked.
