A Charity Gala to End Whatever Important Thing
New York City high society had been absolutely buzzing over this April's charity gala by a certain Mr. Tony Stark. It was seen as exclusive, or as exclusive as his 200 person guest list could be. Some invitations were a given, like Tony's daughter Alexa, whereas others came from what the party planners figured as the right people to make the party memorable or talked about.
The charity event was for the charitable arm of Stark Inc., Stark International. Despite being for charity, it was also seen as a good way for businesses to be seen and network.
The event was held at the Hudson in the Library and Private Park space. It would comfortably fit the people into its 2,600 Square Feet.

"And I'd still feel bad spilling something on my dress. It would probably prove to Brooke that I'm just a messy little kid." She sipped at her seven up.

Eva laughed and sipped her drink.
"Although there's a few people around who are pretty much professional party goers." She subtly pointed at a couple pretending to inspect a Grecian vase, who were actually scanning the crowd like a pair of sharks. "See them? Careful, don't let them see you lookin', they might come over, and that'd be a fate worse than fallin' in a swimmin' hole full of cocktail sauce. Sure, they've got that reality show thing, but really? Showin' up at parties is about all they ever do."

She glanced over out of the corner of her eyes. "Oh, I've seen them, they're not that entertaining," She grinned a little though. "I'm Bobbi by the way." She held out her hand hoping it wasn't too cold.

Eva sipped her drink.
"You go to school here in the city?"
no subject
She shifted her hand sloshing her soda just a little. She shook her head though. "Over in Westchester. I go to a private school there."
no subject
"My parents went to school in Westchester. Well, Dad did. Mom mostly went to a school in Massachusetts. But they met in Westchester. Ah studied a little bit there when Ah was little, too. Probably not the same place, though."
Privately, she suspected it was. There just weren't that many private schools in Westchester. But, you don't just talk about going to mutant school out in the open when there are columnists and blogger types lurking around.

"My blood family went there too. My parents..." Oh how to explain them. "Well the ones that raised me adopted me." Hey that works right?
no subject
Eva winked.
"Why, even Tony Stark's stepson went to school there. He's a couple of years older than me, though."
no subject
She glanced over to where she saw Tony then back at Eva. "Really?"
no subject
Eva grabbed a canape off of a passing tray, and popped it in her mouth.
"California's nice. Ah go out there sometimes, Worthington's got offices in San Francisco. But sometimes, Ah really miss Kentucky."
She went on, totally unaware of the bomb she'd just dropped into the conversation.
no subject
She glanced up hearing the name. "As in Warren Worthington?" Oh yes she caught it. She had yet to meet him or her namesake... But if Eva knew one of them maybe she could find out more about at least one of her fathers. "What's he like?"
no subject
Eva laughed.
"He's my father."

"Um, sure. Those doors over there lead to the garden. There's usually not too many people out there..."
She gestured, hesitantly, to a set of partially open French doors.
