The Devil Made Him Do It
The eight foot tall Hulk wandered the streets, not really knowing where it was. Its heavy footfall sometimes making things shake just a little. Most people and things gave it a wide berth. Those that didn't got growled at; then they gave it an entire sidewalk to itself.
It wasn't sure where it was going. It had just destroyed the building that had captured it. Or destroyed the building over the mad doctor's lab who had captured it. Either way, there was rubble behind the Hulk, on its shoulders, and in its hair.
It walked down the street, looking around. It was trying to figure out where it could go to have some peace. To get away from the doctor it had left behind in the rubble.

The Hulk didn't notice the teenage girl behind it. The girl was not a threat or a goon for Dr. Green.
Nicky, however, had already attacked the Hulk and cemented in its rage-filled mind that he worked for Dr. Green along with most of the other Avengers present. The Hulk grabbed the claw-footed cast iron bathtub behind it. One easy yank and the tub came free.
The Hulk threw the tub at Nicky to get him out of the way. It followed up that with jumping out of the bathroom and toward a small park.

Nicky felt a few ribs crack.
Heard them, too.
This fight, he thought, as he went sailing out of the apartment, could have gone a lot better.
The last thing he noticed before he blacked out was the girl in the Red Sonja t-shirt running far away from the building.

It really was sort of dealing with a child at the moment. A three year old who was fixated on horses. "Too bad I didn't bring my little pony dolls." She muttered before turning around and hoping to see Bruce. He was head honcho. He had to know how this teamwork thing went, right?
"Yo, boss-man! We need our groovy night as his beautiful horse. Trust me on this."

Ultimately, he dug his heels into Aether's flanks and followed after Jay. A park was a good location. Hopefully not many people were out having picnics.

"Come on Nicky," She tore off one of the gloves reaching over to check his pulse. She was wishing the bike was a little more than a power suit now because an x-ray would be helpful.

The Hulk just wanted to be left alone and not hunted.

"How is he?"

"I don't want to risk trying to splint that because well, medical's not my expertise. 'Bots are so much easier." She rubbed at her irritated wrist with it's white band. "I can stay with him until he wakes up, you should go help the others with not so jolly green. Oh and watch out, he can throw you pretty far. Learned that the hard way."

The winged horse walked nearer to Jay, pausing here and there to nibble at the park grass. See? Totally harmless. Harmless horsey.

Her heart hammered and she crossed her fingers. Hopefully this would work.

When Aether was close enough and neither horse nor rider tried to attack the eight foot tall Hulk, it crouched down to slowly and cautiously offered its massive palm for Aether to sniff.

For his part, Marcus stayed silent for now, just letting Jay relax. At least, hopefully he would.

It was much more intent on touching the horse than the surroundings.

Was Jay going to calm down enough on his own? She didn't know. She didn't have much experience with rampaging Hulks, beyond training videos and a Danger Room simulation. She waited for a signal.

He quickly found the others, but kept his distance, not wanting to startle Jay.

Aether always loved attention, so he had no problem being a Hulky security blanket... minus the squeezing.
