The Devil Made Him Do It
The eight foot tall Hulk wandered the streets, not really knowing where it was. Its heavy footfall sometimes making things shake just a little. Most people and things gave it a wide berth. Those that didn't got growled at; then they gave it an entire sidewalk to itself.
It wasn't sure where it was going. It had just destroyed the building that had captured it. Or destroyed the building over the mad doctor's lab who had captured it. Either way, there was rubble behind the Hulk, on its shoulders, and in its hair.
It walked down the street, looking around. It was trying to figure out where it could go to have some peace. To get away from the doctor it had left behind in the rubble.

"Is there something you need help with?" He put one hand on his hip as he stopped in front of the viridian behemoth.

"Rrr." The Hulk looked down at Vincent. Its eyes held no recognition.
no subject
"...Walters?" He keeps his voice low. "What are you doing?"
no subject
Though what was facing Vincent wrinkled its nose at the low talking book-toter in front of it. It leaned over to look Vincent straight in the eyes with a fiery green glower. Its lips curled.

It felt something tingling along its mind. Which made it think that whatever wavy fingers this guy was doing was triggering something implanted by Dr. Green. The Hulk hated Dr. Green with every fiber of its massive green being. Rather than go to sleep, the Hulk got angrier. It lashed out, trying to swat Vincent off the sidewalk.
no subject
"That was a mistake." He narrows his gaze on Jay, and gestures again. If he won't go to sleep quietly, he'll simply choke the beast out. From a distance, of course. A sphere of force forms around Jay's head, cutting off his air.

The young Hulk started rampaging down the street. Buildings, cars, light poles, and anything in its way were not safe.
no subject
She's not with the Avengers right now. not formally anymore. But she knows well enough she can be a help.
She just hopes Jay won't knock down the poles she's swinging on. "Jay!"
no subject
At that moment, the young Hulk picked up cars and threw them down the block because they were in its way. The cars were lodging in a building at the end of the street, making people run for their lives even farther.
no subject
No, she couldn't land on him. She's not that stupid, she's not silly enough to think his once fondness for her could make the world better or safer.

It heard Spider-Girl this time. The chucking cars down the road momentarily abated. It turned heavily, a car still in one hand.
"Rrr?" It didn't attack the wee Spider. It was trying to figure out why she seemed familiar.
no subject
She lifted her mask, "Hey, Wingfoot."

This is Mira."

She did wave a little when Vincent introduced her. "Just staying long enough to make sure he'll be alright. Should check in with the others to see how they want damage control worked. Jolly Green's not so jolly at the moment though pretty sure it's not Slim's here's doing." She jerked her thumb at Vincent.

"Is it a clean break?" He chews his bottom lip, looking away from it. "Regarding Jay, he... he wasn't himself. Not in a full-blown gamma-rage, but... I don't think he was seeing reality in the same manner as the rest of us. Moreso than usual for Jay."

The Hulk landed in the middle of a street, causing a small crater. It went to leap again but only did a small hop as a knight on a flying horse swooped into its way. It made a soft (for it), inarticulate sound and looked around for a direction to escape that was not through Marcus and Aether.
no subject
And then she caught the sound, her head turning to see Marcus and Aether and dimly realized the Hulk should have attacked. But Jay always did have a soft spot for horses and--
Her eyes grew wide. Aether wasn't being attacked. "Marcus! Follow us, I need to see something!"
no subject
Well. Pretty confident.
He nudged Aether closer and the horse whinnied at Jay.

"I've got Sara on the way. I think she can help."
Yes. He just admitted he needed to call on his girlfriend for help. His girlfriend was a)awesome and b) probably powerful enough to nuke the western hemisphere.
no subject
Once that was done, he started moving innocents out of the way. He was currently going to be useless towards helping the others stop Jay, considering that Nicky was operating at a third of his usual strength and that Jay seemed to be operating at more than his usual strength.
"That time of the month," he joked weakly. "Gamma radiation and teenage hormones are a bad match."
no subject
She spotted Bruce first. She knew his energy signature well, and that cosmic power meant he glowed like a star. She smiled for a moment, before getting back to business.
The double infrared signature next to Bruce had to be Marcus and Aether, unless there was another flying horse in NYC. Sara couldn't see magical energy, so they looked like an ordinary man and horse. Except for the flying, of course.
She looked down and saw Jay immediately. He looked like a simmering green nuclear furnace, occasionally flaring out like a sunspot. She held up her hand and let off a few quick strobe pulses to let Bruce know she was there, then she circled down behind Jay and hovered about 50 feet in the air, hands outstretched, concentrating on drawing off as much of that gamma radiation as she could.
Her eyes glowed green.
