Vampire Street Brawl
Marion is in a very good mood. She talked Dawn into letting her show her how some things are done. So she has her book that is filled with field notes.
"Just read through the section I have on vampires. I'm taking us to an area I heard had some... problems. We'll do a basic walk through. See what we can see," Marion instructed.
"The way I see it? We probably won't run into trouble but I gotta few weapons in the trunk we should carry on us just in case." She purses her lips as she drives. "I still don't really get the whole deal with you and.... the magic thing you do. I'll understand it better in time. Still smart to walk with a few basic weapons. I have these really nice hand held cross bows. They can be used with just one hand, easy to hide on your person."
Marion flips the turn signal on as they turn right. She grins at her passenger. "Perfect accessory for the supernatural hunting lady. Just like a good knife."
She is looking for some decent out of the way parking. They should be within walking distance right now.
"Any questions?"

"Feels better." She glances around.
"Okay. Usually I just pick a direction and start walking after I arm myself. Anything feel right to you?"
no subject
"Nothing," she admitted.

"I think we'll get lucky tonight," the red head teases with a grin.

Hard rock blasted from the speakers as she climbed under a truck that needed an axle replaced. "Okay Jack, there's a few more problems with this thing than just the rear axle." At least she was sure the work boots she saw from under the car were her buddy's.

Trying to be one of the good guys was just so tiring. She missed the days she could insult or just punch people for being idiots. Now? Now she had to play by the rules.
"Maybe I should go to one o' de local street fights to get dis outta my system..." She muttered to herself as she continued to walk.

Not from Alisa, Dawn, or Marion.
"Let me go you mutant freak!"
A man's voice laughs richly through the streets.
"Darlin' I'm not a mutant. Ain't been human for a long time. Don't you worry. After this stops hurting.... you'll be too dead to care."

She pointed with her free hand. "That way."

But she has the hand cross bow out.
"There are probably more. Be ready."
She strides in the direction of the frightened woman and the vampire.

Leaving her bike she darted out the door heading for the scream coming up short when she saw the small group.
"Crossbow? I didn't walk into the middle ages did I?" She did glance at the wrench she had kept in her hand and wondered briefly if she was out gunned.

"God damn it!" Alisa shouted towards the vampire. "Didn' you all decide to lay low while dat "twilight" crap came out? Ugh! Nevermind... I'm gonna enough takin' you out, tonight!"
Her comment about the vampires "laying low" because of that tween book series came from talks amongst the Guilds over the New Orleans vampires. They had a tendency to lay low when movies or books like that came out. So seeing one out and about while the fad was still hot was a bit mind boggling to her. Maybe New York Vampires were different?
Alisa cracked her knuckles, then her neck. She was REALLY in a bad mood, tonight. And breaking some vampire's fangs might make her feel just a tad bit better.

Which means they need to get the woman away from her would-be killer.

"Oh look! He brought take out," calls a vampire dressed like some kind of old school Greaser. "I was feeling peckish."
Another vampire with a foot ball player's build nods to the group of ladies. "Might be trouble. That one has Viking Babe written all over her."
There are a few jeers and hoots from their two buddies.
"Get back," hisses the vampire holding the woman. "I'll snap her neck. Then you'll have cops breathing down your necks."
no subject
"You know hiding behind a woman? What are you five? Or must be over compensating for something. Must be true, go undead and can't keep it up." She was hoping that taunting him would get him to lunge at her and let go of the woman. It was a stupid call, but usually it worked in the bars with humans.

When the mention of the cops came up, Alisa just rolled her eyes and kept her distance, for now. She awaited to see what the more seasoned vampire hunters (they were vampire hunters, right?) had up their sleeves.
