The New Guy... (Open to all X'ers)
A yellow cab pulled up to the Xavier Institute, it's breaks making a bit of a squeal as it did so. Once parked, the cab driver got out and opened the passenger's side door, then moved to open the trunk of the cab, all while grumbling about the inquisitive man he had just driven here. After the passenger got out of the cab, and the steamer trunk was laid on the driveway, the cabbie took off, appearing to have been paid in full. Thank goodness for card readers in cabs these days.
Dolemeck Night stood before the mansion. It was much larger than he had anticipated, and rather grand looking. It looked like his private school, only three times the size! This was certainly going to be a change. With a light backpack by his side, he started to walk towards the main doors. His leg braces making his movements look somewhat "stiff" as he tried to make his way there.

"Nice use of the info, dude. Now, can ya do it again?" He grinned as he headed toward the stairs.

"Unless you're a vampire. You didn't poof in the sun. I got my shades on. Do you sparkle in the sun?" The turtle doubted he could use the trunk as a stake. And the woods were too far away to get a proper one.

Were all Americans like this?

"Here you go... and my name is not Louis." Well, that flew over his head. He waited for Porthos to go inside first, before he followed suit. He was just about ready to collapse into a chair. "Thank you, Porthos."

He nodded toward one of the waiting room. "Take a seat in there before you get hemoed, O Pale Scots English one."

"Dolemeck Night?" he asked, then offered a hand. "I'm Professor Ramsey."
no subject
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Sir." He was finally steady on his feet. "And it is an honor to be attending school here. Umm... I take it you have some questions for me, before I get settled in?"

"When you turn sixteen in my country, you take a test and if you grade high enough, you can go to college for two years or take the option of 6th Form. Once you turn eighteen and complete your two years of college or 6th form, you can attend university to get a degree." he explained. "I had scored quite high on this test, and was in a private 6th form school for boys in Baths. I could have taken the option to join the work force, or even go to college from there. But I just did not feel ready."
He looked a little nervous, now.
"I think... 6th form in my country might be the equivalent of High School in yours? So I may be in... 12th grade? Is that right?" He asked.

"And, of course, we offer a number of more esoteric and specialized courses as well."

"And, of course, we'll also have classes to help you develop your other talents."

That last sentenced allowed Dolemeck to give a small laugh.
"Do you have any more questions for me, Professor Ramsey, Sir?"
no subject
He nodded. "A few more, and we've got a good bit of paperwork for you to fill out, so why don't we get started on that?"
no subject
He trusted his things would be sent up to his new living quarters, wherever they were in the Institute. He only took out the papers showing his test scores and medical history. This way, it would make some of the paperwork somewhat easier.
"Professor Ramsey, Sir?" he looks up from the paperwork for a second. "My brother has also asked that I take citizenship classes, in order to become a citizen of this country for some reason. Would adding these classes in be too much?"
no subject
"I'm not particularly familiar with the path to citizenship," he said, "but we can certainly look into what you need. Our history and social studies curriculum's fairly robust, and if we need any exact details, Professor Logan was there for a lot of it."

He finally filled out all the paperwork, placing the papers neatly on Doug's desk, before he went back to sitting up. Back straight, knees together (or as together as his leg braces allowed).
"Here are my medical records, Professor Ramsey." he smiled, placing them on top of the paperwork. "And I have signed and given information to all the other papers."

"What questions do you have for me, Dolemeck?"
