The Blackbird was about fifteen minutes out from Cape Citadel. Supposedly, Topher's boyfriend was going to meet the rest of them there.

Rose, meanwhile, was working up a fight plan in her head. It mostly involved slicing.

"So... we got a nutjub who thinks she's the second comin' of Magneto, somebody encoachin' on Little Miss Hellfire's trademarks, and a bunch of other flamin' nuts. What's the game plan, Summers?"

Rose's fingernails elongated into sharp talons, the unstable molecules of her gloves letting them pass through without harm to the fabric.

"Flirt later, Summers," she said. The joys of super-hearing. "Now, we kick keister."

Under the assault, the magnetic dome buckled, shimmered, and faded. One the base itself, in the distance, Magneta herself could be seen levitating the nuclear missiles out of their silos. In the meantime, in-between the X-Men and her, were the rest of the Sisterhood.

Some distance behind her brother (she wasn't quite as proficient with flight), Josephine was observing. She could feel some pressure welling at the back of her skull, but that just meant she was shouldering it for Jeremiah. She was contributing.
