The Blackbird was about fifteen minutes out from Cape Citadel. Supposedly, Topher's boyfriend was going to meet the rest of them there.

Rose, meanwhile, was working up a fight plan in her head. It mostly involved slicing.

"So... we got a nutjub who thinks she's the second comin' of Magneto, somebody encoachin' on Little Miss Hellfire's trademarks, and a bunch of other flamin' nuts. What's the game plan, Summers?"

Red Witch's eyes dart edbetween the two of them. She was not sure which of the two beast-women was the more dangerous one.

Finally, she turned all of her attention upon Chris - she was the bigger one, after all - and swapped all of the electricity she'd been channeling for a protective bubble around Chris. Well, protective from the outside. From the inside, Chris would find that the oxygen in the bubble was draining. Fast.

Rose. It's definitely Rose. And she'll fight anyone who says otherwise.

Even with burnt skin regrowing, she's got enough together (or suffused under red rage, it might be a bit of both), to slash at the Witch while she's distracted.

Something is clearly missing from Chris' brain once the giant cat registers what is happening. It begins thrashing wildly, shoving paws against the force-field and rolling around in a panic on the ground, regardless of whoever might be in the way.

Rose gets to the Red Witch before she can turn her attention back to her. Alexia lets out a scream as Rose's attack hits home.

Rose raised a hand, claws extended, for another swipe, little trace of humanity in her eyes.
