new student jitters
Bobbi was hugging her stuffed penguin to her as they pulled up to the school. The young teen had spent most the time they were travelling from the airport looking out the window. She was fairly sure if she had to she could get herself back to the airport if things didn’t work out like the two teachers had said they would.
Though now standing in front of the school one arm around the stuffed animal, the other holding one of her suitcases she was slightly nervous, biting her lip she shifted the toy to the same hand as her bag reaching for the nearest hand.
“They’ll really be okay with me?”

She squeezed his hand back nodding. "Guess I'm just worried a little because I don't know anyone but you and Professor Rachel."

The redhead gave the girl a smile.

Rose, maybe? Doug thought, to Rachel. Might curb some of her own excesses if she's got someone to watch out for.

"Guess only way we'll know how I handle things is to meet the others right."

The redhead turned toward the mansion. She hoped Sage had been monitoring things since they came through the gate so she would have some indication which dorm room to take Bobbi to.
Rose sounds good. Though I wonder how much less her almost-not-quite cussing would get around Bobbi.

Heh. Could be worse, I suppose.

"I'm sure I can remember the information I'll need to finish filling out the paper work unless Daddy did that already."
"And really? Thought teachers usually were people persons when they were little."

She let go of his hand as they went up the steps.

"We'll meet with Sage, then get you all settled in."

Bobbi was trying to think up a hundred questions to ask about Warlock as she was escorted down the hall. "That works. I want to get my stuff put away so I can look around. Or will I get an orientation tour?"
Not that I wouldn't mind, this place actually looks a little bigger than the school back home. Oops, that thought was probably private.

The redhead put her hand gently on the girl's shoulder. "I think she just needs a few academic assessments to see what level she fits here beyond the intro to being a mutant things. And then some power assessments to be scheduled."

Doug had also spoken with Doctors McCoy and Reyes, because with the odd power combination and everything else, any data was good data.

Okay she hated tests more, but knew that they had to see where she'd place in classes.
"Guess sooner we get started sooner it ends though right?"
no subject
"As Professor Ramsey said, the term's just begun and if you feel you're having difficulty in catching up we can always tutor you until you're more secure." She turned and gestured with a hand to her office.
"Come inside and have a seat. We'll get you started."

Once the girl gave her assent, Rachel gave a nod to Sage and wink to her husband before departing.

"I'll warn you now, I'm horrible at written tests. Hands on is more fun for me and the lessons stick better." She hugged the stuffed Penguin a little tighter, only because she was nervous. "But willing to give it a shot. Came all this way it wouldn't do to quit without trying right?"

"And I need to go and have a talk with Dr. McCoy," he added. "I'll pick you up after the tests are done, okay, Bobbi?"
no subject
"Okay, I'll try not to take too long." Though she knew the better she did with the test the better they would know about what she's learned. Starting at the first section she read it over carefully before even starting to write.
