Regrouping thoughts(Open)

It wasn't really that big of a deal that she was still figuring stuff out, right? Of course she was having some problems with her folks again which was really nothing new. She was used to them going between being okay parents and jerk-faces. That was fine she could deal with that. She knew just what buttons to press when it came to them.

Se still realizes that she needs to do something about her powers. Her fighting skills in her mind are to be mocked so hard. She's going to shape up when it comes to that because damn it she's a Sterling. Sterlings don't let things like this slide.

Only she has no idea how to start. Working on her powers or something else? She chews on her lip in thought while pacing around one of the living room areas trying to figure that out. She had way too much to work on if she wanted to even think of staying because she really didn't like the idea of putting people at risk.

That couldn't happen. No way. She'd just figure this out somehow.

"Uh-huh. I figired you wanted to change or something so..."

Oh god she's blushing.

"I'll be in there anyways. I don't mind. Really."

She's not looking. Not looking. Not looking at the nice chest.

God she's a dork and a spazz.

He noticed the blush. Though he couldn't figure out why Erin was going red in the face. He tried to be Mr. Casual with a shrug.

"Nah. I'm good. I'll gather some fruit later. Thanks for asking."

"If you're sure," she says leaving the offer still open.

She has got to stop blushing. Reacting like that has her feeling so silly. She knows better than to let her feelings get away from her like that.

"Unless you can whip up a chai latte, I'll be fine." He idly wondered if Erin was to the point she could fry an egg on her face. He still hadn't pinpointed the reason she was so embarrassed.

It couldn't be his fly was down because these shorts didn't have one.

"If they have some kind of mix I think so....I can check. I'm not really kitchen handy. I once set popcorn on fire," she explains.

"It's.... I've never had to cook before. Coffee I can do just fine and a latte is just a kind of coffee."

Oh she is so babbling.

Jay raised an eyebrow. Shades of his mother came to his mind. He let go of the ends of his towel and held his hands up.

"Don't worry about it. Don't go to any trouble for me." Also, he could get Jarvis to do it for him later.

"Okay then." She feels very awkward and totally wants to flee to the kitchen so she can feel like a dork in there instead of here.

Big important difference? No one else is there to see her be a dork.
