Stealing M.I.T.
M.I.T....
Top scientists at MIT had been researching new technologies, including the development of software which could handle pan-dimensional level calculations. The projected applications had been hailed as revolutionary by the likes of Tony Stark and Reed Richards...
Which made it the perfect target for the continuing crimes of the Lethal Legion. Sabertooth, the Owl, the Radioactive Man, and Mentallo had been sent to retrieve it.
The attack quickly made the news.
Fortunately, the local super-heroes, the New Mutants, were not far away in New Jersey...

Re: Sabertooth
He watched her weird version of a square dance as he dodged her whip-cracking good time. Sabertooth was getting a little tired of assessing what she could do. She looked to be armed with the burny-burny. He decided he could heal well enough from it.
Though he waited for a moment to pick up on her move pattern. Not that he headed it much when he decided to charge. He bent low to the ground and used his hands to help pull him along the ground as quickly as possible. She hit with sizzling strikes of her whirling whip and blades of pyroplasm, but Sabertooth kept coming for her.
Re: Sabertooth
She concentrated, trying to make it as solid as possible. When it finally swung against him, it would've been hot enough to melt metal with a touch, but solid as metal itself, swung by a girl with superhuman physical strength, a huge adrenaline rush and just a tiny touch of desperation.
Re: Sabertooth
"Not that easy, princess!" He launched himself as she swung hard, trying to get over the big, spiked hammer coming his way.
Re: Sabertooth
It was fortunate for her that her reflexes were fast- an ordinary person would've been absolutely cooked. She poured almost everything she had left into a singular wave of pyroplasm, one bigger than she'd used before, straight at him. At the range he was at, there was almost no way he'd be able to avoid it.
Even as she fired the pyroplasmic wave at him, she began stamping the ground as hard and fast as she could, to build her reserves back up.
Re: Sabertooth
He howled in pain and hit the ground beside Stephanie. He didn't break his fall so much as hit the ground and start rolling.
Re: Sabertooth
Stephanie needed to turn her mind, she realized, to his actual apprehension. Or incapacitation. Neither of which was an easy task given his healing abilities. Though from what she could tell, they must have been severely taxed at the moment.

Re: Sabertooth
She realized with some dismay that she wasn't really sure how to end this with confidence that she wouldn't kill him. She knew he was a real threat as long as he was conscious- she couldn't really stop attacking him. But at some point, she was going to start doing damage he couldn't heal permanently.
Right?
