Attack on Xavier's ((Open to All X-ers on Campus))

Class had only been in session for a couple days at Xavier's. Labor Day had come and gone. There were more students on campus than in previous semesters. The buzz from first day jitters had settled down. Routines were starting to be picked up. It was currently the small span of time between the end of classes for the day and the beginning of after-school activities.

A mile from the main house, a very determined man wearing purple and dark blue was setting up. He took note of various things like the range to the target, wind direction, wind velocity, air density, elevation, and the Coriolis effect. As well as the effect the window he was going to shoot through would have on his very special bullet. He peered through his scope. This would be an extremely tricky shot, but the entire operation was waiting on him to start it. He needed to take out the biggest problem on that campus. The new construction getting into his way didn't help matters.

He eventually lined up a clear shot and waited. He caught a flash of red in the window. The target must have been sitting at her desk. The sniper grinned slightly to himself. He took in a breath, let it half out, and then squeezed the trigger.
The one-of-a-kind bullet made of non-magnetic material blasted out of the barrel of the sniper rifle. His aim was dead on. He quickly tapped the signal to have the first ones launch their attack.

The walls along Graymalkin Lane were breached explosively in multiple places. Most near security nodes to delay the time the security system roused. Men and women in black tabards with white crosses poured through the openings. They ran toward the buildings and any visible muties on the grounds. They all had been itching for some action since the debacle at Veridian Dynamics. Being underground for this long made the need for mutie blood strong among the Purifiers.

As if they didn't lie and cheat on their taxes already. Dummies they used for target practice counted as dependents, right?

The guns were swapped out for bats, knives, daggers.

"Five against one," the female intoned. "I say you stand down instead."

The stereo, which had thankfully gone unshot throughout the exchange, flipped over to its next song, a cover of "Come on Feel the Noize" by Lila Cheney.

Come on, Feel the Noize!
Girls, rock your Boys!

Brody smiled in spite of the situation, and turned the knob all the way up.

We'll get wild, wild wild!

He crouched and launched himself at the Purifier furthest from the middle, faster than anyone his size-anyone human-should have been able.

Wild! Wild! Wild!

Brody threw the crowbar across the line at the Purifier on the other side of the line with enough force to make them feel it, and grabbed the one closest to him and bent their arms away from their body until they went nearly 180 degrees.

The Lady in the Middle was gonna have to recount in a bit.

"Vicious animals," she said. "This is why you need to be put down." She went for the stereo first, because spite.

While she did that, one of the Purifiers with the bat rushed Brody.

Brody shouted angrily-that stereo was a gift from his foster sister-and hefted one of the remaining Purifiers up by their legs and swung their entire form into the one rushing him with the bat. When they both hit the ground in a heap he kicked the mound of them into the far wall of garage with enough force to shake the room.

He turned and grabbed the gun from the lady's hands and wrenched it from her grip, and used it as club against the one whose arms were probably thoroughly broken from when he jumped earlier. Brody snapped the gun over his knee like kindling and the last Purifier that wasn't the lady, the one recovering from the earlier crowbar hit, got a one-two punch from Brody chucking the remnants of the gun at his head hard enough to dent the zealot's helmet.

Brody turned back to the lady. All the jumping and moving around had landed Brody next to the cigarette he'd lit before being fired on, and he picked it up and put it in his mouth, before squaring the lady left standing with a very displeased look.
