Rendezvous (After the Godstorm)
"It's good to see you made it through the storm, Ms. Burton. We were concerned you wouldn't make it back."
"Thank you for the concern, Wallace. It's been pure bedlam out there," Millicent spoke to the hotel receptionist. Ingrid Burton was the alias Millicent was using while in the States. "Has my roommate checked in?"
"She has, Ms. Burton> Should I let her know you've arrived?"
"Thank you, but no. She knows I'm on the way."
The receptionist nods and hands her her copy of the key to the apartment that she shared with Adrienne. She promptly took the elevator up to the top floor, making her way over to their suite. She gave aknock on the door.
"Louisa? It's Ingrid." She called Adrienne by her assumed name.

"Is zat her?" she asked, exaggerating her accent now that they were in public. People remembered the accent, not the face. All part of the game.
Re: Georgiana's
"Yes." Maybe if she was more monosyllabic there would be less chance of her embarrassing herself.
Re: Georgiana's
"Good evening, chere. I see you brought some company dis evening. It is a pleasure to meet you, my name is Renegade. However, good friends can call me Alisa LeBeau."

"A pleasure," she said.

"Quiet the thing," she agreed. "There is chatter that it was not entirely natural."
Re: Georgiana's
She toyed with her wine glass for a moment before speaking once more.
"You both did not get into trouble for de last contract, did you?"
Re: Georgiana's
"Just me," Millicent answered. "Roxxon doesn't know I had Adrienne as support. Aside from some flak and the return of their down-payment, I believe they are simply dropping the matter. I have yet to hear back from my contact regarding more."
Re: Georgiana's
"Her reputation should stand. Sometimes, being known for being principled has its advantages."
Re: Georgiana's
After a small sip of wine, she went back to smiling at her new "friends".
"Frankly, I do not like workin' for other people in dis field. I was t'inkin' perhaps we should work together for ourselves."
Re: Georgiana's
Re: Georgiana's
"Yes," she said. "What do you mean?"
Re: Georgiana's
Alisa placed down her wine glass with a sigh.
"I would rather pay whatever money I got left to be done wit' de Reavers, an' work wit' like minded folks, you know?"

She could not help but smirk, looking over at Milicent.
"So, what would you like to eat, dear?"
Re: Georgiana's
"Yes, that would be best." She took a sip of water. "Perhaps chicken?"
Re: Georgiana's
She hadn't seen Millicent this flummoxed in years.
