Soup's On (Open to anyone)

Josephine hummed a tune to herself, some little archaic french nursery rhyme she'd learned from Papa, as she put the lid on the pot and left it to the final simmer. Now, for cleaning. it wasn't as though she was a messier cook than the norm, it was just that she tended to move in one long straight line throughout the whole process. From butchering, to washing veggies, to seasoning, etc etc... a large number of utensils and measuring implements left in her wake. She liked to hand wash everything, too. She knew there was a dishwasher, but it wasn't something she reflexively thought of.

She supposed the first step was to clean up the blood, before anyone else came into the kitchen.

"I think I was made immune to the effects of sugar," Okay, scratch the hyperness she gets from it and maybe.

"And Miss Josie that soup smells really good!"

Josie blinks. "I'm a 'Miss'? I didn't think I looked that old..." She runs a hand absentmindedly over her cheek. Maybe she should start moisturizing.

"I dunno... that one grey hair on your head might say otherwise, MISS Josie." The same snark given to him earlier was returned with some gusto. He would turn his attentions back to the salad he was making, washing the lettuce thoroughly.

"Older than I am!" She retorted giggling. "It was better than Ma'am."

Josie gave Dolemeck a look. "Obviously stress-related. Boys around here are awfully cheeky."

He could only stick his tongue out at Josie, before taking the lettuce and starting to dry it.
