"I understand that. In my partnership with Adrienne I've always tried to be the more logical one," she conceded. "Granted if I was logical all the time, I may have been more way in accepting that dinner invitation of yours."
Millicent launched a sudden palm strike at Alisa's chin.
"A shame, really. I do enjoy your company, and swapping contracts with you."
Alisa moved her head to the side, avoiding the strike with some ease. Her body would then drop to the floor, attempting to kick Millicent's legs out from under her.
She hadn't expected the strike to connect, rather she wanted to see how Alisa would respond. Millicent caught sight of the sweep, managing a backwards flip over the attempted strike.
"I admit to feeling similarly." Millicent kept her tone as neutral as the woman in front of her. She struck back with a punch aimed for Alisa's midsection.
The punch connected, but appeared to have little effect. Or rather, Alisa was not showing any effect of it. She would then attempt a punch of her own, aiming to hit Milli in her shoulder, while her other fist went to punch her stomach.
She hadn't expected her punch to have such a minimal effect Alisa's first punch connected, causing Millicent to grit her teeth in pain. The second strike Millicent spun around to avoid and struck out with her other arm in a spinning back fist aimed at Alisa's face.
Her mask took most of the impact of that punch, but it did cause her to stagger for a moment. Alisa regained her balance and then managed to get behind Millicent. Her arms wrapped about her waist, and Alisa performed a German suplex.
Even when not using her powers, she was still quite strong.
Millicent knew she wasn't strong enough to directly break Alisa's hold, so instead she positioned her leg behind Alisa's to stop halt the immediate motion. She considered a backwards headbutt, but with Alisa's mask on that would do more harm than good. Instead she attempted to leverage her arm between her body and Alisa to try and leverage out of the hold.
Millicent's struggling forced Alisa to break her hold and try for another. She happened to get a hold of one of Millicent's legs, and then force her into a figure four lock. These were wrestling moves... something Alisa rarely even used. She usually attacked pressure points with systema. Perhaps she was trying out a new style, or was being unpredictable as usual.
Millicent didn't know why Alisa was using wrestling moves, but that was all right. Millicent had spent years growing up watching William Regal twist grown men into human pretzels to know a thing or two about submission maneuvers. Trying to use leverage, Millicent attempted to move onto her stomach, an action that would put the bulk of the pain on the original applier of the move. Granted it would be much easier for Alisa to get lose, but frankly Millicent wasn't even sure if the other woman's pain receptors were on. She just needed to get lose to consider a new plan of attack.
Alisa had her pain receptors on for this spar. It would not be fair to Millicent if she had turned them off, as it would give her an advantage. And even with a high pain tolerance, she had to break her hold on Millicent.
She would roll backwards, trying to create some distance between herself and her sparring partner.
"Is now de time to tell you dat I got a contract to give to you and your partner?"
"Contract is to find some rich guy's missing brat." The four eyes of her masked rolled as she said that. "I do not have the time, or the patience to go off trying to find spoiled teenagers. Even with the good pay bein' offered, I'm passing on it. You want it?"
"Basically, rich girl gets bored with her rich life, decides to runaway, ends up hanging out at de "Bar wit' No Name" too often, now in wit' some real baddies." Alisa summed it up as best she could.
"I Go to de "Bar Wit' No Name", an' don' wanna be huntin' down someone an' gettin' a rep as a turn coat."
In other words, she did not want to lose her only drinking hole.
"I cannot go to de other underworld bar. De guy who owns it would call de cops on me."
While Millicent had expected some kind of counter-kick, she hadn't expected it that quick. She turned slightly to avoid it, but it stills truck her right knee, driving her down.
Millicent knew a couple moves that she could attempt to dislodge Alisa, but found she really didn't want to.
"A draw is acceptable," she said, her breath a little hitched with the other woman so close to her. She swallowed once before speaking once more. "You..you do look rather lovely in this light as well."
"Well, I made sure my mask was made up properly." She would grin under that mask, before placing her hands on either side of Millicent's head. Alisa would then lift her own body up, into a headstand, before twisting herself around and landing on her feet before Millicent.
"I t'ink I feel like pizza tonight." She continued to grin as the mask she wore unlocked from her nero-implants, and she caught it in her hands as it fell off. "Maybe a calzone?"
"Just a lil' while. It takes me awhile to get back to Hell's Kitchen from here, so I don' wanna have to stay too late an' crack open too many heads." Alisa winked, looking for the pizza menu that Millicent kept around.
Millicent was half-tempted to ask what she planned to do next, but didn't want to risk Alisa turning her emotions back off. It was so uncomfortable to listen to.
"Very well then. Phone's over there. I'm going to change out of this suit."

"As good a time as any I suppose. I'll need details of course."
She was observing every little muscle nuance, waiting to see how Alisa would proceed and respond accordingly.
