Murderworld 2012
The sound of spotlights coming on could be heard, and the darkness that had embraced the people within the room had disappeared. Instead, they were on what looked like an elaborate stage... something out of a reality TV show like the Bachelor. As if things could not get stranger, a large, 65" LED TV came to life, showing a young woman in a white jacket, green shirt, and a horrible yellow and orange polka dot tie.
"Ah! Our lovely contestants have woken up! Welcome, welcome one and all to Murderworld 2012!" The neuro-implants in the sides of her eyes began to glow a bright green in color, and her face had a large smile upon it. "These contestants were carefully selected to take part in the most fun, and dangerous version of Murderworld yet! Winners get to live, if we have any winners, that is. And the losers? Well, they get to die horribly painful and elaborate deaths!"

Re: Space World
Pulling the cover of the vent loose she peeked in carefully at first to see if it was clear.
Re: Space World
The more Mira traveled through the vent, the sound of the alarm appeared to fade. Lasts he heard, there was only two minutes left.
Re: Space World
"Well so far so good," Because she still was unarmed and usually movies would throw something horrible at someone on their own. She's hoping that's not the case.
Re: Space World
And just as she suspected, something horrible did happen! Two creatures broke in through a wall on the left side of the lab. Not just any creatures... the Brood. They hissed and made a charge for Mira, displaying their sharp fangs in all their hideous glory.
Re: Space World
"Great, should have guessed alien outposts have to have some alien thing right? Guessing you guys aren't friendly?" She didn't want to stick around to find out, scrambling onto the table she looked for the door, bolting for it. "Where's my bike when I need it!"
Re: Space World
As she made her way to the door, it locked behind her, leaving the Brood trapped in that room, and the other lab they broke out of. You could hear them clawing at the door and trying to get out. But they had become the least of her problems.
The dead Tech-Sync employees appeared to have... reanimated. Well, they were actually zombie like creatures it appeared. Part of the Murderworld Experience. But they were not regular zombies, not in the least. They had mechanical parts controlling their bodies and re-animating them, like puppets!
On the bright side, they had all left the lab that Mira saw earlier! If only she could get back to there...
Re: Space World
"Out of Aliens into Resident Evil... Where's a Redfield when you need one." Though the door behind them was open...
Mira grinned slightly as she watched how they lurched, slow ones, she might be able to make it... The tech ran for the doors.

Re: Space World
"If this dumps me into an ocean somewhere I quit, so totally quit."
Re: Space World
"How are you feeling, today?"
"My head still hurts, and it feels difficult to talk..." That voice... it sounded like the girl who helped kill those vampires and the one who called herself "Arcade".
"It will take a few days before the neurological implants begin to help regulate your speech patterns to normal. Your accent may come and go for a while as well. There is nothing to worry about."
"Nothing to worry about? I am missing part of a leg, I'm now having my brain regulated by more machinery... what happens if dis all fails, Doc? What happens to me?"
"Well... you would go back to as you were after the bullet struck you. Alistaire Shaw promised to make arrangements for you should such a thing happen, but it is highly unlikely."
"I'd rather be dead, honestly. And I refuse to have Alistaire Shaw put me anywhere! I have a living will, and named someone who would arrange such things should that happen. But honestly, I would rather be dead then not be able to defend myself."
"You sound paranoid. Why is that?"
"I have more enemies than friends. No family, nothing. If these implants fail, I would rather die then be left to Alistaire Shaw. He doesn't... love me. He would just abandon me and never see me again. I'd rather be dead than be alone somewhere, with no allies, no control of my life, and a whole bunch of people who want me to suffer. That is why I wrote a living will, declaring that Ryan..."
The tape cut out after that.
Re: Space World
Re: Space World
But like everyone else in Murderworld, Mira would have to act fast! The Brood finally broke the door down to the lab she had trapped them in, and started to advance on her, crushing some of the zombies in their path.

Re: Space World
She found it hitting the switch clutching the tape recorder close as she did. It was probably something important.
