Murderworld 2012

The sound of spotlights coming on could be heard, and the darkness that had embraced the people within the room had disappeared. Instead, they were on what looked like an elaborate stage... something out of a reality TV show like the Bachelor. As if things could not get stranger, a large, 65" LED TV came to life, showing a young woman in a white jacket, green shirt, and a horrible yellow and orange polka dot tie.

"Ah! Our lovely contestants have woken up! Welcome, welcome one and all to Murderworld 2012!" The neuro-implants in the sides of her eyes began to glow a bright green in color, and her face had a large smile upon it. "These contestants were carefully selected to take part in the most fun, and dangerous version of Murderworld yet! Winners get to live, if we have any winners, that is. And the losers? Well, they get to die horribly painful and elaborate deaths!"

She hit the door once and scowled turning to look for another way deeper into the station. Seeing a vent she jumped for it, shaking the feeling of knowing how this movie ends. No way was she going to get herself killed this early in the game. Not when she and Vincent were officially kind of sort of more than just hanging out buddies.

Pulling the cover of the vent loose she peeked in carefully at first to see if it was clear.

She didn't stop to dwell, right now getting out of there was more important. Getting to the end of the vent she pushed at the grate hoping to drop down in a hanger or even a room with escape pods.

"Well so far so good," Because she still was unarmed and usually movies would throw something horrible at someone on their own. She's hoping that's not the case.

Mira had been glancing at the containers while looking on the tables for some sort of weapon. Her back was turned to the Brood as they broke in, though the wall breaking had her turn instantly.

"Great, should have guessed alien outposts have to have some alien thing right? Guessing you guys aren't friendly?" She didn't want to stick around to find out, scrambling onto the table she looked for the door, bolting for it. "Where's my bike when I need it!"

Mira had backed away from the door and glanced over hearing the sound of someone in the hall. Seeing the... Well for lack of a better word, zombies, she groaned.

"Out of Aliens into Resident Evil... Where's a Redfield when you need one." Though the door behind them was open...

Mira grinned slightly as she watched how they lurched, slow ones, she might be able to make it... The tech ran for the doors.

She picked up the tape recorder turning on the tape listening to it while she picked up the key and diagram. Looking at it she memorized the directions.

"If this dumps me into an ocean somewhere I quit, so totally quit."

She paused, the player in hand. She didn't even know the man, but wanted to deck him for Alisa. Shaking her head she tried the key to the collar, no use dragging that weight around. scooping up the rest of the stuff she stood at the door a moment, wishing she had her bike again, because screaming down the halls on it would be better than dealing with trying to avoid being bitten right?

She saw the few get stepped on and bolted for the bathroom doors praying they weren't locked. She probably added that she'd start going to church on Sundays if it would help as she neared the door.

She leaned against the door for a moment to catch her breath, making a mental note to start working out more with her team before she moved to find the switch listening for the countdown.

She found it hitting the switch clutching the tape recorder close as she did. It was probably something important.
