Uniforms... Huh

Erin turns over a business card in her hand a few times. Her father had been taking her a little more seriously and had been pleased with her last few test scores in school. So this little card with an appointment had come in the mail at school for her.

Apparently he was of the mind she needed a uniform. Not a bad thing really. He was going to foot the bill he just wanted her to go to this one place.

She didn't want to go alone so she decided to ambush the person who knew more about this than she did.

"Hey Bruce."

"Well Dad's footing the bill so I expect she'll have some decent ideas. She's supposed to listen to me but..." She looks suddenly very sheepish.

"All I know is no capes for me. A cape would get in my way."

"Thor's about the only guy I know who can pull off a cape. Dude's got gravitas."

That gets Erin to laugh a little bit. "That's true."

"You want company? Second opinion?"

He paused. "Just don't tell my girlfriend I offered that."

She nods her head then smirks just a bit. "I think we can agree in a mutual not-interested pact. I don't steal other girl's boyfriends. It's a nasty thing to do and the one thing I'm glad Mother really drilled into me as being unladylike."

Bruce laughed. "Sounds good to me."

"I always have good ideas," Erin says somewhat smugly. She can't help that it's just the way she is when she knows she's right.

"And your best one was listening to me when I said to join the Avengers," Bruce countered.

[wateronthebrain]

"Well you're all a little crazy but..." She smirks a bit more. "You're also the most honest and open people I've met in a long time. It's both fun and refreshing."

Bruce smiled. "I had some good teachers."

She nods sagely. "It shows."

"So when do you go see this "Edna Mode?'"

[wateronthebrain]

".....Not too long from now. Dad likes to spring things on me." She rolls her eyes a bit.

"Well, lemme know when, and I'll clear my calendar."

[wateronthebrain]

"The day after tomorrow around five. I hope that isn't too soon."

"Nah," Bruce said. "s' fine. No classes that late anyway."

[wateronthebrain]

She looks very pleased with this. "Thanks Bruce."

"No prob, Erin."

[wateronthebrain]

She grins a bit more. "I'll leave you to what you were doing."

And she does. The next day is busy as ever for her but the following evening she'll take him with her to see Ms Mode.

"Classy place," Bruce said, as they arrived.

[wateronthebrain]

"It's nice. Not what you'd call a fixer-upper at all," she agrees seeing just how opulent everything is.

"I hope she's not like....You know. Too over the top."

"Well, most fashion designers are supposed to be eccentric, so...?"

[wateronthebrain]

"Oh goodie," Erin says dryly. "Well at least we're expecting it."

Bruce just laughed. "Bravely into the valley of death rode the... two."

[ngm_miscellaneous]

"Ah hello darlings," a cheerful voice calls.

"Miss Sterling, it's simply a pleasure Dahlin," she says in an accented voice. She can't be too much over the four foot even mark and is very tastefully dressed for her age.

"When your Father explained the situation, how could I say no? Models? Bah. They know nothing!"

She shakes her head. "But Super Heroes? Why they have.... A little something special in their little grey cells. Do come in, sit! Let us talk!"
