One mini Icecube with a side order of oops. [open]
Bobbi scowled as she knelt helping one of her friends pick up their books. “Alex you have to be such a jerk?” She handed the books over to the girl he had tripped, who was pushing her glasses up so she could see.
“Bobbi, don’t, you’ll get into trouble if you’re in another fight. It’s alright I’m used to it by now.” She did accept her books though.
“Aw what’s wrong Bobbi, gonna let the geek tell you what to do?”
“Considering she’s been helping me get used to the school, yeah I’ll let her.” She glared at the older student putting an arm around her friend. “Come on, let’s go. We’ll be late for class if we stay here, I can’t afford another tardy.” Their way towards the English room was blocked by his friends. Bobbi glanced around, the other students were forming a ring around them, the chant of fight already starting. The fourteen year old gave a small frown. “Anna stay behind me okay?” She was used to getting bumps and bruises from the soccer field at least. If he was really going to take a swing she preferred it to be her that got hit and not Anna.
Al’s fist hit the locker by her head making her flinch slightly as he grinned. “All that bravado and you’re still shaking aren’t you?” He laughed stepping back.
Bobbi closed her eyes growling a moment, the air around her started to cool down as she pushed him away from her. He yelped, her small hands actually cold enough to burn him even through his shirt. “I’m not scared of you.” Her words were as cold as her hands, making his buddies back up as if scared of the pint sized teen. She stormed past him, the air still cooling. There was the sound of something above the gathered students cracking. Looking up all the sprinklers had icicles forming. The young blond bolted as soon as she was away from everyone, feeling like she needed space.
Once outside in the California sun she bolted across the yard planning on making it home before anything else happened. She wasn't sure what was going on, but had a feeling the cracking noises she had heard were because of her.

"Getting anything on the portable unit?" he asked.

The redhead kept an eye out for angry mobs and or anyone seemingly out of place.

"That was stupid of you Bobbi, they're not going to let you go back after that..." Yes she was talking to herself.
no subject
He looked up, noticing the girl. "School's still in session, right?"
no subject
"Yes, it is. I think that's who we're looking for. Acute mutagenic revelation syndrome right there."
no subject
Damn, just what I need people complaining that I'm skipping school... She thought almost tripping. Her hand flew out to stop her fall and, the light pole she touched crystallized as it froze.
"Right, don't touch anything yet..."
no subject
Doug could read panic in her very easily. It was clear the sudden freezing was unexpected.
"Um... hello?" he called out.
no subject
If the girl bolted, she'd possibly be dragging a floating Rachel with on a telekinetic tether. The girl could be a danger to others or others to her.

She really didn't want to hurt anyone at least. It's Cairo all over, the soldiers are going to be here any moment I need to get out of here... She wasn't sure exactly where to go though. Her house wasn't an option her mother would be home and she didn't want to risk hurting her.
no subject
"We've seen this kind of thing before," he said, calmly. "I'm Professor Ramsey, and this is my wife, Professor Grey-Ramsey. We're teachers. From a school of people just like you."
no subject
Though doing her due diligence, Rachel scanned the area for anyone looking for the girl. The redhead would give gentle nudges to go looking in the wrong direction for the moment.

She shook her head a moment her thoughts going dark for a brief moment. She had thought to touch both of them and run, but she stayed her ground. No, I didn't hurt the soldiers before I'm not going to hurt teachers now. I'm not a monster.
"That kind of school?" She'd at least try to figure out what was going on, the temperature around her was starting to warm up at least. She was losing the hold on the cold, which meant she'd have one huge case of the munchies later.
no subject
"We're a school for mutants," he said. "We can help you learn to control your gifts."
What was she so afraid of? There was an edginess he couldn't properly identify...

She smoothed down her skirt with her hand as she headed toward the front door of Bobbi's home.

Though seeing Rachel walking up the steps she grabbed her bag. "I'll see you later tonight Mom." She kissed her cheek and was almost to the door when her father stopped her.
"Thought I'd walk you there today, get the paperwork started before lunch."
no subject
Robot, Doug told Rachel.
"Sir," he said, politely.
no subject
Rachel put on her best congenial smile. "Mr. Angelus, it's a pleasure to meet you." She offered her hand to shake. "I'm Professor Rachel Grey-Ramsey, and this is Professor Douglas Ramsey. We teach at Xavier's."
no subject
"Dad really it'll be okay. You know I'll be careful." She looked at the pair. "Sorry he's over protective even though I'm a big kid."
no subject
"Understandable," he said instead, shaking the man's hand as well. "But I can assure you, Westchester County is very safe."
no subject
"We're well prepared for students of Bobbi's caliber. Quality education will get her far."
no subject
"We know of the school. It's just, hard to let her go. I'm sure you understand."
no subject
He tensed, ever so slightly, when he was the grip tighten.
Don't like where this is going, he thought to Rachel. No... overt threats, but even within his mechanical limits, I don't think he much likes us here.
no subject
She remained pleasantly quiet. Rachel was subtly figuring out a telekinetic shield to put around Bobbi and keep her powers from going off on the street.
no subject
She reached up to her shoulder when he let her go. "You sure Dad?"
"This will be better for you in the long run."
